The opportunity to shoot such a rare occurrence in society a civil rights protest during a pandemic was inspiration in itself .With the protestors in both images wearing masks it presents the dangers, risks and lengths they are willing to go to make their voices be heard that’s how powerful and important it is in their eyes and I wanted to capture that. Some might have thought this action was selfish but I for on thought it was bravery going against the mass population to bring to light a serious issue the other aspect of bravery was being more likely exposed to this virus. Yet they thought it was of greater importance to make people aware of their cause. The context presents a strong message which I wanted to capture so that moment of bravery and stepping up can be remembered during these unique dark days due to the pandemic.
