Don't Hyde

I'm a trans woman who's dreamt of becoming a musician since I was 13, and after having my life saved so many times by music, I want to become an artist who people can relate to and felt heard by. Which is why I write a lot about darker and real things I've experienced, like depression and being trans itself. Don't Hyde originally started as a bitter revenge song, but after sitting with it for a while, it took on a new meaning: about trying to come to terms with yourself. Trying to move out of a dark place and emerge from the darkness as a more positive and hopefully person. It soon became about the internal struggle, wrestling between the good and darker side inside of you before one of them - hopefully the good - emerges as the new victor.
