I wrote and recorded “Wet Blankets & Wallflowers” at my old band’s warehouse in Costa Mesa, CA in the wake of the band’s dissolution. All while listening to a lot of the Twin Peaks Soundtrack, the White Album and Weyes Blood.
It’s about reconciling the anxieties of life after the band, the expanding influence of social media, feeling robotic, letting go, and of course the nuclear bomb. Best listened to on an autumn night in.
“Wet Blankets & Wallflowers” was self-released on Nov. 15, 2019 on all streaming platforms and limited cassettes.
