‘Take me home’ - Sunset Collective

Sheffield-based band Sunset Collective have released the excellent single ‘Take Me Home’, in November 2020. It is an indie-rock song with a big heart.

The aim was to create was a performance-based video blending dark and moody tones with light washed out chorus vocals. Combining this with female visuals created a relationship dynamic with Sam’s vocals. The end result really visualises the pull of a toxic relationship and the intensity of it.

"It’s about breaking out of a mould, not letting other people dictate what you should be doing so going out and doing what’s best for you not what others think you should be doing! Separating yourself from negative people" - Sam Rawson, lead singer

“The official music video is great to watch and offers the subtle messaging of the poetic lyrics. Cutting between the band performing the track and images of a woman, the video simply captures the emotional impact of the song. The red tint to the video comes and goes which adds to the visual capture of the emotions.” - The other side reviews

“Focusing purely on performance and intimate portraits of a mysterious woman, the video dives into abstract imagery and minacious colour palettes to create an intriguing aesthetic.” - Promonews
