Oh Summer Night

A breeze softly rustles the leaves.

Tickling the twilight like an errant hair tickles a lover's cheek.

In one moment refreshingly cooling like silk sheets
the next comfortingly warm like  flannel pajamas.

The peach clouds, indigo ocean and periwinkle sky stir together as the sun is lowered over the horizon like an egg yolk folded into a celestial cake batter.

The veil of night is drawn westward across the darkening sky revealing the twinkling cosmos like a kimono falling to the floor reveals a freckled shoulder.

Oh summer night caress my dreams with your delight.
