Here's yet another song about isolation. ‘on hold’ is all about being able to cope with the terrors of the outside world while keeping the panic of our minds at bay. The window (as well as being a literal window) symbolises our exposure to the outside world in the form of the news and media. We can get so hooked to the TV that it sparks unnecessary fear and can cause adverse effects on our mental wellbeing, especially in times like this where all sorts of misinformation is being spread.
