Learning To Love

Everybody has issues surrounding their own bodies but for some reason self image is a taboo subject. Admitting to liking your own body is seen as vain, but saying you don’t like it is seen as attention-seeking - so what can you do?

In today’s society it can be hard to feel happy with one’s body when your popularity is constantly being judged by likes, comments, retweets and follows. Learning To Love is a photographic project focused on celebrating body positivity and is here to show that it is okay to love your body and it is also okay to be in the process of learning to do so. It is a project set out to represent as many different people, from different backgrounds, to show that body positivity is not easy to achieve for anyone; no matter your age, illnesses, race, religion, size, height or gender.

Each model has their own stories, their own past and present just like everyone else, but each have one thing in common - they are all learning to love themselves.
