A Real Intellectual Kardashian Conversation (Part 1)

Saturday Morning Synopsis, like most of my creations these days, has been a growing process. I didn't know exactly where it was going but I knew what i was interested in. Having great conversations with great people about topics that are genuinely interesting. Not just topical or cliche. But things that genuinely interest both of us.

At first, I thought there would be a turnstile of hosts switching in and out for the show. The name of the show would've been Saturday Morning Synopsis w/ PSwitch. (I'm sure some of the promo gfx even still feature the original design.) But logistically, it was a lot. Constantly matching people's schedule. Constantly thinking of new topics for different people. When all along, I was speaking to one of my favorite people about topics that genuinely interest us on a weekly basis already.

So when Nia officially joined me on S//M//S, i was physically excited, For starters, we both look forward to carving the time out to speak already and those are the best conversations to be a f y on the wall for. Also, as people who have been friends for 15 years and know each other so well, we tend to fall on opposite ends of the spectrum. But our values align. So well.

Those two traits make for my favorite people. My dad, Reyes, my sister, my mom. Each of those people have that and it makes them so interesting to me.  It's the idea of two people crating different routes to get to the same place.

I was just as physically excited to speak to Nia about the Kardashians. Cause Nia is a stan. Not of just one thing, of many things. And as stans do, she goes hard for her passions. The Kardashians, and maybe more specifically Keeping Up With The Kardashians, is one of those things for Nia. That's why on the verge of the finale of KUWTK, we had to have this talk.

It ended up being our longest episode so far.
