Of House "Holy, Holy"

"Holy, Holy" was written at the end of writing Of House's first album, "Feelings," that didn't think fit in with that song cycle. As Nick — vocals/guitar — kept writing songs, it became clear that a second album was emerging, "Holy, Holy" began representing a bridge of what Of House was and what it was becoming. The Shoegaze and Dream Pop influences became more fleshed out. The electronic drums became more hard hitting. The guitars are dreamier and more full. The keys beef up the songs and float hooks over everything. These songs are also the first ones that feature Pat Nolan and Blake Hart as members of Of House. "Of House will always be somewhat of a solitary outlet for me," said Nick, "but I know Pat and Blake will always bring my songs to the next level." Lyrically, "Holy, Holy" touches on how every time we create something it is added to the pantheon of art and how that thought can be intimidating, but it's important to press forward.
