Furniture isn't Dead

Pictured below is the latest piece by Six Dots Design, a design and architecture practice founded by Royal College of Art student Joseph Ellwood.

In a world of Ikea and mid-century-modern rip-offs we ask the question: what is furniture  today?

Furniture surrounds us, it supports us, it helps us, it even keeps us healthy. Bad Furniture can make us uncomfortable, cramped and frustrated. Good furniture has the power to inspire, excite and connect us. Furniture can be a refuge after a long day, a glimmer of light on a gloomy morning or even express our own identity. Our latest unit was designed to be a simple yet powerful presence of light and serenity in our clients home.
