A Balancing Act

They couldn’t trust her to walk the line
Although if they had it would be just fine
I’m only just a bit shaky in the knees
I know if I tried I could stand on my feet
They kept turning her world upside down
Each time she would fall and land on her crown
So when it came time to prove herself
It was earthquake rattle and falling off the shelf
I don’t know what more I could possibly do
Opportunity seems fewer than few
Forever alone I suppose is fine
But I don’t think I could ever let go of the line
I cover severity in the facade of rhyme
My loneliness is true you’ll see it in time

Somebody save me I’m falling again
I’m falling
And falling
Falling
Again
