Our First Kiss

Every bit of anxiety
Suddenly lifted from me
The moment he placed his hands upon my waist
And began to give my lips a taste
His tenderness seeped into my soul
Giving me new hope to hold
The intimacy we shared in a few moments
Unmatched by a lifetime of leaving myself open
The way he grasped me, held me close and tight
Made everything in that moment feel so right
The way his body felt against mine
Made me realize what I was missing in my life
Time slowed down so we could savor this
Because I finally got to share with him a kiss
