DESERTED INTERIOR

Malls. Quarantine. The lockdown affected malls so much. All that was left in this mall was memories of times before the pandemic. Where once there was the footsteps of brand new shoes, where once the fragrance of a finely baked pretzel, lays nothing but nostalgic memories of the past.

These photos illustrate the impact of the pandemic, essentially what felt like a disconnect from the outside world. While we were are locked in our homes, our malls that was once filled to the brim with opportunities were slowly rotting away. A loud echo of silence reigns through the halls of our abandoned shopping centers.

This is my submission for the contest :) 💚🌱
