Death is without sound

I worked with a young adults art center to create a very large project which was called 'Dancing Duruflé'. The parties involved were two orchestras, two choirs and several solo singers, a harp player and a group of all-female dancers. All of them together performed the Requiem by Maurice Duruflé, which is a beautiful piece of music about death and the passage from life to death. The head of the dancing group developed a choreography that matched the music beautifully. I made video installations both with the dancers and freely which displayed my interpretation of the music. The videos played on two smaller monitors and one large screen in the churches the piece was performed in. It was very successful and has been invited to be shown at 5 other national locations, which I am very happy and proud about.
