Light, love and laughter, creeping into every day.
 The beauty that surrounds me,
 The people who stay.

The smell of rain and the feeling of joy .
 A lovely conversation,
 A very silly boy.

Old people sharing love, care and affection.
 The sunshine upon me,
 Peace and connection

People showing kindness at a strange time,
 Books and music,
 And words that rhyme.

How it feels to love, when your heart is ablaze
 When peace is upon you
 Though your mind is a maze.

The warmth of embrace, and the hope for life.
 Small acts of kindness,
 Strength through strife.

A belief in God, looking out for us all.
 Big things and little things,
 How it feels to be small.

Discovering, exploring, finding my way.
 Making new friends
 And seizing the day.

Walking in the rain, with glasses that mist.
 Sand as it falls
 When grasped in my fist.

Broken glass that catches the light on a bright summer's day.
 Snowflakes and icicles,
 And people who say,

I love you,  feeling  content, accepted, known.
 Looking back on my life,
 And seeing just how much I've grown.

Opening my eyes in the morning, knowing I have another day.
 Love and affection
 Silence to sit and pray.

I am grateful for these things and grateful for more.
 For the life that I have,
 And love to share forevermore
