Hi, I am Yuting He (@xieerxdd), an illustrator who works on digital art, I use cheerful colors to present quirky things in daily life. Moreover, I combine handmade texture, abstract shapes, and digital drawing to create my artworks. Through my art, I try to explore myself, express myself, deal with negative emotions, and seek unexpected joy in life. From small sketches to large scale projects, my art is a highly-personal reflection of myself.
This series of images come from my personal project 'Let go'. It is a project about visualizing my dream scenes that bases on the dream diaries I kept for years, the purpose of this project is about self-exploration and self-healing. From the dream images I made, they revealed the other side of me. I begin to unfold myself; therefore, drawing became my own type of therapy to deal with my negative emotions, it helps me let out the unspeakable sadness and heal the wounds.
In this series 'Jelly pool', I jumped into the pool that full of sadness, it revealed my inner struggles. And now, I am ready to bring out my courage to face them, to let go of my past.
