Baggage Claim

We are gathered here today
 to gawk joylessly at
a rubber river which runs about as well
as a Ford Pinto, a dated reference
 I can't even remember.
Is that it? Is the ribbon red or
 magenta? No another faceless
just snatched it with no words,
no body, & no eyes for here.
