Who is Nxck Lewxs?? A Lo-Fi hip hop act and a musician at heart since a very young age, Nxck Lewxs knew what his path was when he left his hometown of Texarkana, TX. At the dorm rooms of UT Austin, a placement with the Underachievers on MTV Jams changed everything. Now, based out of Dallas, Nxck has toured with Flying Lotus and been in the studio with the DOC, as part of a group. After a lot of growth through the industry, he’s re-emerged as a solo artist. Drawing influence from DJ Screw and Michael Watts as much as Madlib and J Dilla, Nxck has a unique sound that’s as “universally regional” as the Houston sound of the early 2000s. In between projects, Nxck likes to translate his weirder dreams into cartoon ideas, teach his young pit bull to be a strong young black man, and plan a school bus built to survive doomsday… or save on hotel rooms.
