My name is Theodore Golden and I am a trans multimedia artist and designer interested in mythology, spirituality, and the human body. This series came to fruition when I had to leave school and move back home due to COVID, I was devastated to lose my studio, my art practice, and my independence, and was grasping at straws for any kind of stability. A while ago my friend suggested tarot as a way to look within oneself and self reflect, I never really thought much about the deeper meaning of the practice until I had that conversation with her, honestly I loved the artwork on the cards and that was about it, but having talked with her I decided to revisit my cards and turn my mind onwards instead of outwards. The project  came to mind as a way to ensure creative practice and recreate stability in my life by redrawing and redesigning a card every day. I’ve challenged myself to look inwards and to simplify and abstract my art style, thus simplifying and examine the meaning and emotions I felt when looking at and researching each card. This ongoing project has helped me self reflect, and I hope to continue this new daily practice until I have a complete deck.
